TAKE THE GREEN PILL

A hand holding three small, round, teal pills against a blurred green background.

WHO WE ARE

One Divide is a podcast hosted by Tao Jones that examines wealth inequality and the strategic division of the American population by wealthy plutocrats and corporate interests with the aim of keeping working class people fighting each other instead of recognizing their true adversaries in the elite oligarchy. The show exposes artificially stoked divisions such as race, religion, gender, immigration status, and social and political philosophy as “straw men” created by the wealthy elite to ensure the continuation of the status quo, which has seen an epic increase in wealth inequality over the past 50 years in the United States and around the world.

We also aim to tell the stories of people and organizations who are working to fight for the working class who support societal priorities including public education, freedom of speech, civil rights and personal freedom, veterans’ benefits, freedom of religion, a free and unbiased press, a living wage, and the affordability of housing, tuition, and basic consumer needs like food and clothing.

Don’t buy the propaganda. Don’t be fueled by the hate, the blame, and the anger that you’ve been conditioned to direct at your fellow working class Americans by crafted media algorithms. Take the “green pill” and see who your true enemies are - not Democrats, not Republicans, not Christians, Jews, or Muslims, not immigrants, not gay or trans people - they are ALL struggling, JUST LIKE YOU ARE, and with many of the same basic challenges of living. It’s only when all of us come together that we have a hope of challenging the immense power of wealth and its influence in our country today.
